Description of position:    The future colleague will directly lead the project managers who manage a team of 15-20 in the field of specific automotive projects.

Duties:    • Supporting project managers and project members in daily project related issues, resolve conflicts in projects

• Allocate resources to projects (together with project managers) and set priority of projects, deliveries when necessary

• Ensure high level of project utilization

• First escalation for project managers

• Write project agreements/specifications together with the project managers

• Ensure people development, like training of new hires, analyze the training needs for the team members and submit training plans to the department manager for approval

• Develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance

• Conduct performance reviews with team members

• Maintain transparent communication through regular team meetings

• Keep regular contact with customers (unit managers, project managers, SMEs)

• Identify problems and collaborate with project managers and project members, propose solutions in an effort to solve problems

• Be flexible in approach to role and task completion and when applicable „step in” or „step up” to other roles/positions that may need support

Requirements, skills:    • Relevant professional and people management experience in the Automotive industry

• Appropriate level of experience within the responsibility areas; business and people management

• Experience in project planning and project cost follow up

• Strong skills in maintaining and developing customer relationship

• Experience in being a speaking partner and give advice to co-workers Education & skills

• MSc or BSc degree within the technical field

• Fluent in English, both in writing and speaking

• Excellent communication skills

• Good understanding of people behavior, people oriented personality (supportive, considerate and engaging)

• Confident, ability to build trust and confidence

• Ability to „sense” challenges, problems and react fast to them

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Strong business acumen

• Pro-active, dynamic personality

• Ability to delegate and assign accountability

Known languages:    Fluent English knowledge
