PwC are the market leaders in global Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance and consulting services. We provide clients with VAT compliance and planning support throughout EMEA and more widely, including Asiapac and Latin America.
Due to continued growth, opportunities have arisen at Senior Associate level within our Belfast VAT team. We are looking for individuals with experience in VAT interested in further developing their career.
Working to Managers, within a team, you will be responsible for the first review and delivery of draft VAT returns for UK businesses and as part of wider global VAT compliance projects. This would include advising and assisting clients on issues like; overseas registrations, e-filing, potential impact of new overseas tax legislation, assisting clients subject to tax authority audit etc.
Successful applicants will also have experience in the development of VAT consultancy advice across all spheres of business and government. Working with managers, such consultancy could include the provision of VAT liability advice, the VAT implications of particular transactions and advice on the minimisation of the VAT of particular transactions.
You will be responsible for liaising with clients and the wider PwC network in order to ensure quality and timely delivery. You will build relationships with both client contacts and the global PwC network.
This role provides the successful candidate with an unparalleled opportunity to build global VAT technical skills, global VAT compliance awareness and experience working on complex challenging assignments. • With Managers, clients and colleagues, managing timetables and contractual scope to ensure delivery against compliance obligations • VAT technical review of draft returns and client specific exception reports • With Managers, developing VAT advice for client specific specific transactions across all spheres of business and government • Liaising with the appropriate client personnel • Liaising with the global PwC network • Ensuring high quality service delivery to our clients • Keeping up to date with legislation and practical changes which impact VAT compliance;
In addition to relevant experience, the successful candidate will need to possess and demonstrate a broader range of capabilities and skills, including
