Systems Engineer

Our client is the leading provider of advanced graphical system design tools and off-the-shelf hardware platforms for the design, implementation and deployment of sophisticated software-defined instrumentation, automation and real-time embedded systems.

As they look to support the test and embedded platform business, they are setting up a Systems Engineering Center of Excellence in Budapest. The primary aim of the center and the group is to provide professional technical services of design consulting, startup assistance, proof-of-concept, feasibility study, software architecture consulting and development to the customers and European technical field sales team.

They are looking for enthusiastic, committed, hard-working, technical systems-level electrical engineers.

Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• work with key customers across Europe and help them in building systems for characterization, testing, validation/verification, real-time prototyping and simulation of their chipsets, devices, subsystems and systems
• develop system architectures
• develop software components
• document technical requirements and characterization/test results for customers
• up to 30% travel within Europe to visit customers may be required periodically

Requirements:

• masters degree in Electrical Engineering
• specialization in Automated Test & Measurement or Industrial Embedded
• fluency in English (written, verbal/spoken, reading)
• great programming skills (C/C++ etc.)
• great professional and behavioural skills

Preferred skills:

• ability to identify and solve application-specific engineering problems
• ability to design and conduct experiments and generate summary reports
• RF/Communications specialization is a plus
• broad technical knowledge of NI product lines and platforms is a plus
• National Instruments LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI or TestStand knowledge is a plus
