We have seen unprecedented growth within our Online business, so we are currently recruiting a number of System Engineers to work on channel aligned business projects, where our aim is to accelerate new or enhanced products to market through a sprint development approach.
We have a requirement for System Engineers in our Leeds, London and Gibraltar offices.
Our System Engineers deliver new or changed IT services with minimal impact to existing services or associated revenue streams, they work collaboratively with Business Systems colleagues to improve services and look for ways to automate wherever possible, responsibilities and activities are varied in the role but a key element will be developing creative and innovative solutions to facilitate continuous delivery.
Role requirements for a System Engineer:
-Delivery of timely high quality environments in line with architectural standards and project delivery requirements
-Work closely with Business Systems and business colleagues and 3rd party resolver groups effectively to deliver continuous deployment across core workstreams
-Manage expectations with business and project colleagues around timescales and risks to the delivery of new or changed IT services
-Deliver automation of environment management and application deployment tasks wherever possible
As a System Engineer you must have…
-Relevant hands on technical skills in particular in UNIX/Linux, Apache and Java application platforms
-An excellent working knowledge of IT systems environments i.e. operating systems, networking, applications, platforms and databases
-Experience of Managing Virtual Server Farms.
-An understanding of project and service delivery processes and development and testing methodologies and Change and Release managements practices
-Strong customer focus establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders and 3rd parties
-Ideally holds ITIL accreditation
