Community Youth Services provides a diverse range of learning opportunities and youth work programmes through its universal and targeted provision for young people age 10-25. The youth work curriculum themes are health and wellbeing, participation, community safety, informal and accredited learning and employability.
Through the youth work curriculum, youth workers engage young people in informal education opportunities providing positive activities; for example, arts and crafts, sports, cookery, as well as information, advice and guidance, personal, social development, and volunteering opportunities.
We are looking for a number of youth workers to join our team of staff delivering evening youth work programmes in community settings across West Lothian.

· Able to work with a diverse range of young peopleThis post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
