On behalf of our client- a global technology leader, as well as a company undergoing dynamic growth at present, we are looking for a driven and experienced:
Supplier Quality Engineer
•Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering discipline preferred).
•Ideally 3–5 years of experience in Engineering/Purchasing/Quality (or relevant).
•Strong technical knowledge related to the manufacturing use of Mechanical components.
•Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
•Good understanding of English (knowledge of an additional second language will also be considered).
•Strong understanding of APQP and PPAP standards, processes and implementation.
•High level of fluency using advanced quality tools.
•Skilled in Microsoft Office tools.
•Knowledge of raw materials/metals/plastics/resins/electronic components would be further considered as an asset.
•Lead the issue resolution and root cause analysis processes with suppliers on all supplier related quality issues.
•Support NPI activity within the site liaising closely with NPI Buyer and Supplier Engineers.
•Attend site meetings providing clear and timely updates on issues raised.
•Actively support site CE/VE projects developing a strong relationship within cross functional teams including Sourcing, Manufacturing, Design and Supplier Teams.
•Support factory in management of non-conform materials.
•Provide support and roll-out of Global Quality Tools within the supply base.
•Collate supplier monthly reports and liaise/manage feedback with suppliers including improvement actions.
•Evaluate Suppliers’ performance and take development measures/actions where necessary, feeding updates into Supplier Development Engineer.
•Manage resource activity within site with local supply base reporting updates into Supplier Engineering.
