The Purpose Statement:
Responsible for assigned purchasing activities; supplier selections; related contracting activity.
The job holders report to the Head of Procurement.
Carry out assigned purchasing activity such as:
- execution of necessary market research activities
- supplier selection according to the procurement strategy
- complete administration of procurement procedures
- preparation of reports and statistics supporting the decision making
- management of assigned suppliers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- educated to degree (suitable commercial qualification is preferred)
- minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in an international environment with centralised procurement organisation
- thorough knowledge of procurement best practices
- excellent problem-solving ability
- a team player
- good organisation, communication and cooperation skills
- able to work against tight deadlines
- open minded, a half cup full personality
- knowledge of MS Office
- fluent English language written and oral
- valid B category driver’s licence
- knowledge of integrated corporate management systems
- experience of project work
- procurement experience in one of the following fields: Construction, IT
