We are looking for a new colleague in a Software Analyst position.
The Software Analyst (SA) is a role dedicated to fulfilling software requests within IT Asset Management from end-to-end. These can include, but are not limited to requests for:
- non-standard software/hardware;
- layering of a new software application
- software involving server components
- newly supported/developed applications,
- Upstream Technical Apps
As needed, SAs consult with customers to understand their requirements; interface with other interested parties, identify the endorsers for each request and issue final decisions. SAs will handle software license acquisition and deployment, assignment and export requirements, usage rights and restriction verification and the review of software license agreements. Also monitoring progress and initiating activities to speed up the endorsements. The SAs work hand in hand with Project Managers to assist in understanding and navigating the end-to-end Software Delivery and Software Services processes. SA's will also be responsible for purchasing software licenses. This will include creating the purchase requisition and documenting the license purchase in Asset Manager.
Requirement for the SA role is the ability to juggle many open requests at various stages of the processes at any given time (multitasking); have very good interpersonal skills, and be very organized. Knowledge of the business organization structure is an asset.
