The Senior Solution Development Engineer (NAS) is a member of the DPS SBO Storage Engineering, a global team of highly qualified/expert Engineers in data centre technologies including all of Storage, Server and systems management.
Senior Solution Development Engineer (NAS) is accountable for the global technical engineering standards and product portfolio, based on global reference architecture and reference designs. This includes designing, building and maintaining the DPS SBO standards and solutions for use in all global DPS SBO operations teams.
Senior Solution Development Engineer (NAS) is also responsible for third level operational support, providing key expertise during incident resolution after escalation by the operations team, problem management en change/release management.
Senior Solution Development Engineer (NAS) plays a key role as technical consultants and subject matter experts during customer related projects for on-boarding, transformation and bid proposal.
Detail Technical Designs and solutions – Lead the development, maintenance and evergreening of designs per each area of technology. Be the global owner of one or more technical topics within DPS Engineering
Vendor liaison and Innovation - keep abreast with Infrastructure developments in the market place and work with delivery to lead proof of concept projects as necessary and to contribute to well researched recommendations as a business case (Costs, Benefit, Risks, Value to Customers, Value to T-Systems).
Liaison with delivery organizations - actively work with the delivery organization to ensure that the services can be operated in an effective manner.
Problem and Escalation management – Activelysupport the delivery organization in the event of critical situations and with structural issues in the infrastructure.
Publication of Standards – Lead and contribute to all DPS Technology Standards and building blocks according to T-Systems document management standards.
Governance of DPS Standards – Lead in technology design and product Steering Groups to police and control standards effectively.
Procurement – support effective negotiation, procurement and selection criteria of technology according to the T-Systems guidelines.
Exploiting technology – ensure a standardized method of service delivery which is aligned with T-Systems guidelines.
