PwC's Resource Management (OneRM) team has been brought together across our whole firm to enable our business to be even more agile in the ever evolving markets we work with, providing the right people on the right projects at the right time, across all of our services. This is an exciting time for Resource Management as we build on the professionalism of our people, work closely with the business to develop and implement PwC business and people strategy, and continue to strengthen our business.
We are looking to recruit a Resourcing Senior Manager in our Deals team in London, to initially support the Deals: Transaction Services resourcing function of c4/5 members of staff, with a view to leading the Deals: Corporate Finance (2 members of staff) and the Deals: Forensics (2 members of staff) OneRM teams; liaising with the Deals OneRM team located across the Regions. Transaction Services is a large complex business unit, fast paced, high energy with high volumes of resourcing requests, which require a fast turnaround on a daily basis. The business unit has 650+ client facing staff based across various offices in the UK.
As a Resource Senior Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of RM Services, helping to provide operational excellence. You'll work with the business and OneRM function to support the firm's strategy around agility and mobility of our people and will support the firm's people agenda, reporting directly to the UK Resource Management Team Leader for Deals and Consulting and supporting the resourcing team and the key stakeholders.
You and your team will be responsible for the staffing of Associates to Directors, both in London and the regions on a daily basis. You will also have the opportunity to support the RM strategy across the Deals Global Network. You will also have a role in talent management and liaising with the People Partners & Operations Partners to discuss individual performance and development. This role is a people focused role founded on effective working relationships with all key stakeholders within the OneRM community and the Deals Business Units.

About the role

• Provide leadership and direction to the Transaction Services team and in time the wider Deals resourcing team to ensure a first class resourcing service is delivered to Deals partners and staff. • Drive a culture of commercial thinking within the Deals Resourcing team and support team to influence/persuade key stakeholders around strategic resourcing of staff. • Keep key stakeholders updated on key issues and achievements. • Promote agility and adaptability of across Deals, providing innovative solutions to overcome barriers • Create a Deals OneRM culture to address silos created by the business structure, ensuring consistency of • Lead on Global Mobility and resourcing and support Deals on the internationalisation of the business. • Work in close partnership with other key functions such as Learning and Development (L&D;), Risk and Quality, Marketing and Business Development (MBD), Finance and Human Capital (HC) to make sure that the links are made between the key initiatives of the functions providing services to Deals. • Build networks and relationships both within and outside of Deals and use these to support the firm's mobility agenda. • Promote the use of key resourcing systems including Retain to enable effective resourcing. • Make sure Retain data quality is of a high standard on a weekly basis in order to provide timely and accurate forecasts of revenue and availability of staff to the Deals Leadership Team. • Work in collaboration with Senior Partners to understand the pipeline of work from the Sectors and ensure Resourcing is involved at an early stage in order to ensure smooth efficient deployment to PwC clients. • Support the Deals Business Unit and LoS Leadership Team with implementation of business strategy from a resourcing respective. • Enhance knowledge of RM processes & protocols across Deals with a view to increasing operational efficiencies and bringing consistency where appropriate eg use of Retain, cv template etc • Introduce the OneRM dashboard and MI when launched later this year, strive for standardisation across Deals (where ever appropriate) • Make sure developmental resourcing underpins resourcing activity. • Manage the process for recruiting staff into Resourcing including performing interviews. • Be the people manager for OneRM members including coaching on an ongoing basis, career development advice and having responsibility for interim and year end appraisals. • Be responsible for the team's workload and take actions to smooth this as much as possible. • Initiate and subsequently manage resourcing projects undertaken by the team ensuring these are in line with strategic objectives of Deals. • Role model OneRM behaviours, take an active role in the OneRM community by sharing best practice and taking ownership of specific areas in consultation with the OneRM Deals & Consulting Team Leader. • Represent Deals on firm wide project groups and workstreams etc.

• Experience of Resource Management (strategic workforce planning, demand planning/forecasting. talent management, etc) or Operational Planning • Knowledge of forecasting processes and procedures • Knowledge of Global Mobility • Experience of working in a Professional Services or similar environment • Educated to degree level
