Senior Payments Specialist

Job Summary:

The Payments Specialist needs to ensure the timely and accurate preparation and processing of Global Payroll Payments to Employees, Payroll Partners, Statutory Bodies and Third Party Providers on behalf of Clients. He/she will be responsible for reconciliation of Client account payment platform reports to internal reconciliation and monitoring of cash flow. The Specialist will be the escalation contact for Payroll Payment and account balance queries, or requests for information from Clients, Payroll Partners, Payment Providers or internal colleagues.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor coordination of requests for set up of new beneficiary or changes to existing beneficiary details in payment platform, liaising with payment solutions provider as necessary
  • Monitor coordination of the payment processing in line with the Payments Schedule ensuring adherence to approval process, and back up documentation and that record of payments maintained
  • Ensure Fund Requests are prepared in a timely manner, following Operations confirmation of payroll sign off by client, appropriate control checks are actioned and sign off obtained to ensure accuracy prior to release to client
  • Ensure client accounts are monitored for receipt of settlement funds
  • Monitor reconciliation of client account balances to payment platform reports on a regular basis to ensure all incoming and outgoing transactions have been processed successfully and accurately within agreed deadlines
  • Monitor the recording of the breakdown of credit balances and any pending transactions to be carried over to the next period to ensure efficient cash flow monitoring (Statutory and Third Party payments, Quarterly payments funded) each period


  • Min 2+ years of multiple currency accounting or payroll experience
  • Experience of using Accounting and Payment platforms
  • Experience in using Payroll Systems would be a great advantage
  • Fluent in English is essential
  • Account balance reconciliations for multiple clients / countries including currency conversion
  • Team work oriented and also able to work individually
  • Competent in use of Ms Excel and Ms Office
