• Assuming full leadership responsibility for driving improvement and application of one major area of data science for the benefit of Home Care in Unilever.
• Working closely with internal project teams and leadership to identify further opportunities to apply data science to optimise speed and quality of the innovation programme, and make recommendations on priorities and resourcing.

• Highly motivated to identify and realise business impactful applications of these skills rather than pursue in-depth research, but a demonstrated ability to quickly investigate and adapt methodologies for application in different areas will be valued.
• Demonstrably good programming skills, with expertise in applied problem solving using at least two of: Java, C, C++, Perl, Matlab, SQL, pl/SQL, Python, PilotScript or R. Familiarity with a data science workflow development platform (e.g. Pipeline Pilot) would be an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills - being able to convey complex scientific ideas to a range of audiences (expert, peers, non-expert) by demonstrations, presentations, summarising recommendations, documented detailed analyses and written reports. Strong customer-facing and listening skills to be able to translate scientific requirements clearly and precisely into data science and informatics principles.
