Senior Consultant (TRO) - Somerset, Street, BA160
Fixed Term 3 Months
We are looking for an experienced engineer to facilitate additional works complimentary to Borders Railway. You will have experience of TSRGD signs and markings, parking legislation, speed legislation and road safety standards and guidance. The preparation of traffic regulation orders for speed limits, parking regulations and re-determinations will constitute a high proportion of the tasks required and it is essential that the applicant is well experienced in this field.
You must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering and Full Chartered Civil Engineer status and have previous experience in Highway design, asset management and roads maintenance experience along with experience in the design of road safety and traffic management schemes and writing traffic regulation orders.
Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Office, or similar software packages, together with knowledge of relevant quality assurance systems is also essential.
Experience of staff management in desirable.

Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
