>> You are a reliable person who is always punctual and has the ability to work on own your own initiative as well as part of a team. You are also physically fit and capable of manual lifting. Knowledge of working in large buildings would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided. Experience in dealing with the public, Youth and Adult Organisations etc would be desirable. The ability to travel within Aberdeenshire is essential.
>> Your duties will include opening and closing establishments as required, providing a security service in schools and other establishments, ensuring operation of heating plant and lighting systems, undertaking as required peripheral cleaning duties - this involves ensuring that schools campuses are kept clear of litter and other forms of debris, clearing snow in inclement weather, undertaking porterage duties, in general assisting staff in schools and members of the public and ensuring that Health and Safety policies are followed.
>> This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
