Sales Engineer - Biopharma

For our market leader multinational partner providing filtration, separation and purification solutions we are seeking an experienced colleague in Sales Engineer (Biopharma) position.

He / she represents the company's products and services to the Pharmaceutical business partners in Hungary, assuring continuous and profitable business growth, according to management targets.


- Follow up and regular visits to existing customers, securing existing business and developing new applications at their production sites, prepare market reports
- Build up consolidated relationships at all levels (process engineers, technical management, maintenance, purchasing group)
- Increase penetration at key accounts, expand customer spend
- Identify new customers and their potential and their approach
- Promote new products / initiatives at existing and new customers, in cooperation with the tactical marketing function
- Interface with technical inside sales for made-to-order solutions, where required
- Own his / her budget, contributing to its definition
- Consistently and timely report results against budget, explaining deviations and identifying corrective actions in case of gaps
- Ensure commercial sales terms, supporting customer service and credit collection teams if needed


- Proven technical and commercial experience in outside sales (1-3 years)
- Pharmaceutical industries experience, knowledge would be a benefit
- Minimally Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (MSc degree is preferred)
- Fluent, confident English language knowledge (verbal and written) is a must
- Good interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a matrix environment
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Driving license category B
- Focused and results oriented approach
- Experience interacting with technical personnel
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Readiness to identify new opportunities for growth
- Clear sense of urgency and business impact
- Willingness to travel min. 50%
