Risk and Controls Consultant- Financial Controls Team - Swindon, City, SN38 1NW

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager in the Enhanced Financial Controls Framework (EFCF) team. The team are responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing the rollout of the new financial controls framework across the business using a process led approach, underpinning the reliability of the financial statements.

Who we're looking for
With previous experience in audit, finance or risk and controls, you will have the:
• Knowledge and understanding of robust control frameworks;
• Ability to clearly articulate and document risk and control issues across a wide range of business areas;
• Ability to communicate and work effectively at all levels across the organisation, ensuring synergies are incorporated into existing and new processes;
• Flexibility in relation to the changing needs of the organisation, with the ability and desire to continuously improve relevant proces ses, systems and controls;
• The ability to work to tight deadlines, organise own work and to prioritise;
• Commitment to meeting the project, team and divisional objectives.
Please note that travel will be a requirement of this role.
What you'll be doing
Working as part of a project team delivering the improved financial controls framework, you will be working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the entire business.
As a key part of this team, you will also:
• Document key financial processes across the business to identify financial risks, controls and enhancements required;
• Work with contacts throughout the business to design, review and test key processes and control documentation;
• Work to develop monitoring and compliance in conjunction with finance policy monit oring;
• Understand the changing internal control environment, and how current Industry Best Practice can be applied within NBS.
