Risk and Control Manager EMEA Enterprise Supply Chain

Job Summary:


The role will be responsible for the leadership and management of certain aspects of EMEA ESC (Enterprise Supply Chain) Risk & Control.  The role will act as primary point of contact for the regional ESC community for selected functions / disciplines within R&C.

A key part of the role is to act as a facilitator to ensure that everyone across the EMEA ESC community is aware of their personal responsibility to protect the franchise. This involves effective leadership, communication, R&C training facilitation and the identification and mitigation of key risks.

The role will work closely with the EMEA ESC Head of R&C and the Global Risk and Control team to design and agree the Regional and Country risk and control programme.



  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and as single point of contact for all areas of delegated responsibility within EMEA ESC R&C.
  • Act as a Leader within the R&C function, across the ESC community and with key Stakeholder groups.
  • To support the EMEA ESC Head of R&C to develop the strategic agenda for the function.
  • To support the EMEA ESC Head of R&C to drive key R&C initiatives and change programmes.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of all policies and procedures that directly impact ESC (CEMP, CSSMP, Blueworks).
  • Implement clear and concise policies and procedures to all Regional and Country ESC staff.  The role is responsible for driving the adoption and adherence to these processes and procedures to minimise risk.
  • Required to advise Senior ESC Management on general risk and control matters and advise on the controls to be put in place to address these.  Additionally, advise Senior ESC Management where processes and policies are not being followed and advise on corrective actions to be taken.
  • Provide regional input to the Global Risk and Control programme and strategy.  Work to create a Globally consistent risk and control framework that minimises wherever possible regional and country variations.
  • Understand individual country risk variations and communicate these to the Global team for inclusion in the Global programme.
  • Lead the communications interface within the EMEA ESC community, ensuring that all communications are appropriate, impactful and effective.
  • Lead EMEA ECS R&C training facilitation responsibilities, ensuring knowledge transfer, increased awareness and compliance with key R&C policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the EMEA ESC Head of R&C and the Global community to develop predictive analytics and dynamic risk profiling to increase the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.





  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience as a lead of a particular function or sub-function with responsibility for representing that function to senior management
  • Knowledge of some elements of supply chain management preferred
  • Experience of risk management, compliance and/or controls environments
  • Solid project management, process reengineering and reporting experience
  • International work experience within multi-national companies
  • Experience of working within matrix organization structures and with multiple virtual relationships
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • Demonstrated people management skills (can include virtual and/or project teams)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management (SRM)
  • Ability to demonstrate credibility and derive confidence from senior management
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize to maximize effectiveness
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
