Fixed-term contracts: 1 x 18-months, 1 x 2-years
We are currently looking to recruit two roles, one to specialise in Statistical Research on an 18-month fixed term contract, the other will be involved in Ministry Projects, employed on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Research & Statistics: In this role you will be involved in auditing the data received from parishes, ensuring quality and providing customer to support to data-users. This will include providing statistical consultancy and information, as well as drafting regular reports of published data and assisting research and statistics projects within the department.
Ministry Projects: Here, you will be contributing to the research capacity of the Ministry Division by helping us to develop a programme of research aimed at increasing the Church of England's understanding of the impact of our investments in ministerial education, our policies, and institutional practices relating to diversity.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant research-led discipline, you will have proven statistical ability and experience of research methods and applying them to small scale research projects. You will also need knowledge of survey methodology, data collection techniques and qualitative research, and be able to use a wide range of statistical techniques and software effectively, including NVivo, SPSS and STATA. On a personal level, you will need to be self-motivated, with the ability to plan and deliver a wide range of projects to deadline, whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.
