We are looking for an experienced candidate to fulfill the Release Manager position for one of T-Systems’ Top 25 Global accounts.

As the Release Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the adoption of a complete release and change management process in an dynamic fast paced environment. Responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the release process; coordinating with teams across geographies, chairing Customer facing status calls, ensuring changes are carried within policy and the internal teams are educated in correct change management procedures.

  • Overall accountability for the Release Management process; responsibility for process documentation, education and continual improvement

  • Develop, document and publish Change and Release Management standards, Change and Release Management plans and procedures

  • Create and publish Internal as well as customer facing release notes

  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio; plan release RfCs; coordinate customer notification

  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

  • Coordinate, monitor and document the release management related activities across a matrix organizaton (Technical Design Architects, Release Technicians, Internal and 3rd Party Change Implementers), including the analysis, implementation, review and testing of proposed changes, the results of releases and re-releases, issue logging and recommendations

  • Maintain a document reference library for audit purposes

  • Provide monthly reports on KPI’s on the quality of change and recommendations back to the change implementers

  • Participate in CAB meetings and Customer facing calls

  • Manage escalations where necessary

  • 3-5 years industry experience; relevant degree in the field of networking is an advantage
  • SSC, Change Management or Technical experience in the field of networking

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certificate; ITIL Service Transition certificate/Change Manager background is an advantage

  • Release and Patch Management/Project management experience is an advantage

  • Advanced level English skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Able to work in a team

  • Be able to plan and organise complex programmes of IT implementation

  • Accurately follow documented procedures

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Able to work under own initiative

  • Basic IT networking knowledge; CCNA qualified or above and/or relevant experience is an advantage

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
