Projects & Business Analysis Manager - London
Great Ormond Street Hospital is acknowledged as one of the world's leading children's hospitals, treating children and young people with complex and life threatening illnesses. Working in partnership with the UCL Institute of Child Health, the hospital is the largest paediatric research and training centre in the UK, and one of a very small number of internationally recognised centres of excellence in the field of child health.
We are looking for a customer-focused and highly collaborative Project Manager/Lead Business Analyst to join our small, but effective Operations department. This is a key 'hands on' role, where you will analyse, document, project-manage and propose solutions for complex business problems, in order to achieve and meet the overall aims and objectives of the Charity.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Analysing, processing and translating business needs into coherent specifications, using standards-based methodologies, for project teams and IT development colleagues.
Line managing, motivating and personally developing two Business Analysts.
Understanding, documenting and preparing requirements for software applications.
Assessing and reviewing critical projects and project management life-cycles.
Proven line management, project management, and business analyst experience, in a medium to large marketing/customer-facing organisation is essential, as is a Prince 2 Practitioner qualification, or equivalent, experience of analysing and documenting complex business processes using standards-based methodology, and a qualification(s) in formal analysis techniques. A professional, courteous, 'can-do' approach is also essential, as is the ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with teams across the organisation.
