We also have a significant number of qualified privacy professionals (CIPPs), both globally and in the UK.
Essential skills:
The successful candidate for this role need to meet the following:
A minimum 3 years' experience in data privacy and protection with:
Strong knowledge of the UK, European privacy laws and regulations. Knowledge of international privacy laws, sectorial regulations in the US, Australia is an advantage but not essential.
An awareness of current privacy issues, cyber and privacy security frameworks, privacy engineering technologies, emerging trends, and best practices related to data privacy.
Experience of implementing privacy and information security programs including, privacy risk assessment, requirements definition, data flow analysis, privacy access rules and strategy development such as policies and procedures, business process controls, incident response plans, monitoring, reporting of breach and escalation, and privacy training and awareness programs.

The ability to manage a number of projects, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations;
Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to develop and manage senior-level relationships;
Desire to work in a constantly changing environment as part of a team of IT Security Advisors;
The ability to be seen as a role model for junior members of the team.
You should be flexible and be prepared to travel to some extent both in the UK and overseas, and to work to tight deadlines, when necessary.
Ability to gain a UK Government Security Clearance.
There is a high degree of variety in the work, so the ability to be flexible and adaptable is key. Our work covers a number of sectors, the main ones being the Banking and Capital Market, UK Government, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Energy, Consumer Products and Pharmaceutical industries. Whatever the industry and focus for our assignments, the expectation is for technical excellence combined with strong commercial understanding and client consulting skills in a risk advisory environment.

Establish credibility with prospective clients by demonstrating knowledge of various aspects of privacy, data protection and related technological advancement in the industries.

Help recruit, retain and develop the privacy risk team by bringing superior leadership skills.
Ensure the quality of deliverables and clients are satisfied with the work.
Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for privacy risk and associated services.
Work either as senior subject matter experts in their field and/or manage teams in delivering client excellence.
Contribute to the Intellectual Property of the firm by driving the development of toolkits, methodologies and accelerators.
