Payroll Specialist - London, Ealing, W4 5YE

Summary of Key Responsibilities

· Preparation of a section of the retail store based payroll. Liaising with the wider PRO team to ensure all relevant data is collated and input using SAP-HR, ensuring correct authorisation exists. Working with ADP to resolve any problems that may be encountered during each payroll period.
· Monitoring time and attendance submission and assisting the payroll team leader to ensure that all time and attendance data is received by the payroll department according to and in line with tight processing deadlines.
· Support store managers with time and attendance systems by responding quickly and accurately to change requests within manager self service (MSS) and it's linked systems i.e. SAP-HR.
· Collate payroll data on a weekly basis. Including time and attendance data each Monday, and assisting the payroll team leader with rectifying data deficiencies through stores not following correct procedure.
· Update and maintain personnel and payroll records within SAP-HR and ADP Global View - (the payroll system). This will include processing and inputting tax documents P45/P46 etc. arriving at the Support Centre from stores and partners.
· Liaise with partners and managers around payroll queries, which may include underpayments, incorrect tax codings and SMP queries, resolving them within agreed time frames.
· Ensure accurate maintenance of statutory data through regular data cleansing and running reports to identify potential issues. Liaise with ADP to rectify any problems/issues.
· Calculation and payment of off-cycle payments (advances, holiday pay, termination payments) including errors from stores that have led to partners being underpaid.
· From time to time assist the payroll manager with period end routines, including preparation and review of P30 and reconciliation of payroll associated balance sheet accounts, keeping accurate records of resolutions for audit purposes.

Decision Making Responsibility:
· Ensure that all data input is correctly authorised within current policy and procedures .
· Complex decisions should be referred to the payroll manager or other relevant partners.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
· Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to both Support Centre and FielAd Partners - excellent customer service.
· Demonstrable experience of using SAP - HR
· Experience of multi-site payroll using a variety of payroll systems.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong knowledge of Excel.
· Ability to work to tight deadlines.
· Good awareness and/or willingness to learn about Auto Enrolment and RTI.

Additional Information
· Flexibility in working patterns when required to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
· The role will be UK Support Centre based - no travel is envisaged as part of this role.
