Operational Risk Analyst - Swindon, City, SN3 1TA

We need:
•An Operational Risk Analyst - 15 month secondment
•£22,104 - £28,244 a year on a full-time contract, plus benefits.
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the Distribution Governance, Risk and Controls business area as an Operational Risk Analyst, with responsibility for the development, collation, production and insightful analysis of qualitative and quantitative management information.

Who we're looking for
•Understanding of governance, risk and control management principles and methodologies.
•Expert in the interpretation and use of management information for senior audiences.
•Good understanding of retail processes and associated controls would be advantageous.
•Strong determination and self-belief to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management and control, ensuring that risk management activities and reporting add value to the business.
•Analytical / creativity skills to interpret and report on risk data and to identify trends/anomalies and root cause.
•Ability to resolve complex problems and/or establish alternatives where established procedures may not exist.
•MS Office skills, including Word and Excel are essential as is strong attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative and within timescales.
•Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders across the business.

What you'll be doing
•Timely collation and production of high quality reporting which facilitates effective decision making.
•Identifying risks, root causes and actions and assessing the impacts that these will have on areas within Group Distribution and other areas across the society.
•Monitor, analyse, interpret and trend critical risk MI into quality insight for onward reporting, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
•Improving processes to encourage a smarter working environment enabling you to provide a well-supported service to key stakeholders.
•Plan and co-ordinate the design and production of risk metrics and control information.
•Work closely with Risk Consultants, Senior Risk Consultants and Operational Risk Officers to ensure that they are kept informed of all issues and activities that would be deemed to increase or decrease risk exposure for the Society.
