Job Title: Microsoft Capability Manager
Salary: up to £49,000
Benefits: Bonus, Healthcare, Pension, Agile Working, Outer London Weighting Allowance (£1,500pa - if based in Kingston upon Thames)
Location: Kingston upon Thames or New Jersey (USA)
Travel: 10%

To meet this need, Enterprise & Technology Solutions (ETS) has created a dedicated cross-functional Information & Analytics team to support the business, with a critical mass of expertise and specialist Business Intelligence skills, in order to convert data into information that becomes a source of competitive advantage to Unilever.

Within the Information & Analytics Team there has been created a Reporting and Presentation team who are Accountable for delivering best-in-class Reporting solutions fulfilling Functional, Performance and User Experience requirements. Within this team we require a Microsoft Capability Manager, who is a Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft's Business Intelligence Application landscape

Support Training, Engagement and Activation of initiatives built on Microsoft BI landscape

• Oversee the successful delivery of all development taking place on the Microsoft BI landscape, for Connect (Data Source: Teradata EDW) and Tactical (Data Source: many/any) projects.
• Responsible for the onward Innovation of the Microsoft BI landscape (SQL Server, SharePoint, Power BI), looking at right time to carry out major upgrades and leading upgrade approaches; related to this, drive Beta testing of product prior to general release.
• Lead Application Level advancements on the Microsoft BI landscape, such as improved Usage Reporting, Engagement & Activation of capabilities and drive onward usage and advancement of Self Service capability.
• Take a lead role in the relationship with Microsoft, on behalf of Unilever, driving Product Innovation and enhancements, as well as playing a linking role with Service Delivery Management and Application Maintenance teams.
• Work alongside the User Experience Manager, One View Team and Tactical Reporting team to ensure that Microsoft BI landscape usage is aligned to the new Information Gateway.
• Work closely with the Lead Microsoft Developer in the I&A; Team to ensure all development done under their scope, is leveraging Microsoft's latest BI landscape innovations.
• Develop a Training/Engagement/Activation materials to drive increased and improved usage of the environment.
• Leading Edge knowledge of the Microsoft BI landscape (in particular Microsoft SQL Server Analytical Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• A Fully Operational knowledge of End-to-End Design process for Business Intelligence projects.
• A Fully Operational appreciation of Performance Point, SharePoint and Custom SharePoint Development.
• A Fully Operational appreciation Excel Power Tools (Query, Pivot, Map, View) and Power BI.
• A Fully Operational Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Networking and End-User Computing.
• A Working Knowledge of Information Security and Access Control.
