PwC is looking for an experienced manager level candidate to join the Market Campaigns team, part of the broader Client and Market Development (CMD) function. This is a fixed term contract/secondment covering maternity leave starting in December 2014.
The Market Campaigns team is responsible for driving high-impact marketing campaigns that support the growth strategy of PwC and respond to market opportunities, and this role will be aligned to our Risk Assurance practice.
Successful candidates will need to be creative and innovative using all the marketing channels available to meet the objectives of each campaign.
The role will require excellent influencing and communication skills in order to be credible and make an impact on senior management. A vital part of that will be driven be a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC, the market and our clients.
A proven track record of delivering effective marketing campaigns will be essential. The role will require someone with excellent project management skills, the ability to be a role model to other team members and have the ability to coach and develop the junior team members.
About the role
CMD is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm's market strategy and in particular to deliver:
• Revenue growth
• Enhanced relationships and networks
• A distinctive brand experience
The PwC strategy is designed to provide a sharper focus on market issues in order to prioritise growth opportunities and align our resources to deliver them. Our plan is to obtain transformational growth of our consulting market share and to extend our lead in our core businesses of audit, tax, business recovery services and transactions.
This role will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns across our core propositions for the firm's Risk Assurance practice. The jobholder will report to a Senior Manager in the Market Campaigns team.
In this role, the successful candidate:
• Provides management of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Provides expert advice on the most appropriate approach, content and channel mix and strives to uphold our quality and brand standards.
• Monitors short and long-term ROI measures and takes responsibility for delivery and evaluation of ROI on specific campaigns.
• Proactively seeks new channels to market and innovates to engage with our audience in different ways.
• Works effectively with other parts of the marketing, communications and business development function, especially the Buyer Programmes, Thought Leadership, Opportunity Management and Media Relations teams.
• Brings curiosity and challenge so that marketing campaigns are continuously improved and experience, information and knowledge are shared.
• Acts as a coach and mentor for marketing executives and assistants to help them grow and develop in line with objectives.
• Graduate calibre with a proven track record in the delivery of large scale B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• An expert understanding of marketing planning, programmes and channel management.
• Strong knowledge of new and traditional marketing channel as well as digital marketing
• Proposition development experience would be an advantage.
• The ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Creative and innovative approach.
• Proactive with a positive 'can do' approach.
• Self-starter able to work effectively as part of a team.
• A sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware.
The role requires someone with strong experience at manager grade so we are unlikely to consider marketing executives looking for promotion.
