Manager of Digital Delivery - London

The Manager of Digital Delivery reports into the Director of Initiative Delivery & Ecommerce Technology Lead, managing large and/or multiple IT projects/programmes with budgets of £3-5m for all European businesses by supervising project teams and external resources to deliver solutions.

Oversee the delivery of constant improvement and support services for digital technology in the e-Commerce and m-Commerce arenas.

Coordinating activity for critical projects across the chain, business and application boundaries, acting as a mentor to other associates providing a high degree of business and application expertise.

Key responsibilities include -
· Delivering new IT capabilities that drive business results on highly complex projects or enterprise wide programs consisting of multiple projects, from initialization through project close.
· Lead projects through the defined solution delivery process (SDP) which covers, but is not limited to, Initiation, Design, Build / Test (Systems/UAT), Implementation and Warranty until accepted by the customer and supported by IT Ops.
· Effectively partners and influences in order to deliver scalable, optimized solutions.
· Develops project or program strategy, supporting business case, and enterprise level project plans. Ensures integration of all dependent projects.
· Leads project activities and reports project status to ensure completion on time, within approved budget, providing desired business value.
· Assigns priorities for and coordinates the activities of project staff, including the relevant third party staff as needed.
· Defines project quality and success criteria. Complies with Sarbanes Oxley and PCI.
· Plans and co-ordinates the implementation support (Change Management) to the user community and ensures that the desired adoption is achieved.
· Responsible for the project and program plan, work breakdown structures, and identified critical path.
· Responsible for timely and effective project communications including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management, and reporting.
· Manages project change control process with business sponsor ensuring any requested changes to scope are reviewed to assess their impact on schedule, cost, and resources.
· Accountable for project financials, including baselines, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation.
· Defines and drives the adoption of new delivery models for digital technology, such as agile development and release management.
· Furthers the adoption of project management standards and contributes to the TJX PM community of practice
· Completes a Post Implementation review, Lessons Learned and feeds back for process improvement.
· Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Identifies and solves issues.
· Furthers the adoption of project management standards and contributes to the TJX PM community of practice.
· Accountable for job performance and project delivery of all direct reports. Coaches & mentors.

Key skills and experience we are looking for are -
· Operates in a matrixed environment
· Experience of Retail or FMCG/Fast Moving business projects
· Strong organizational, presentation, and business partnering skills
· Proven expertise with e-commerce/m-commerce systems plus familiarity with financial, retail, human resource, and logistics systems
· Advanced knowledge of system development life cycle methodology and project management techniques
· Experience with handling large project and program workload
· Ability to multi-task and alter direction easily to accommodate changing priorities
· Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously
· Ability to assess project health at defined stage gates
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· People leadership and development skills
· Formal Project Management Accreditation: Current PRINCEII and/or PMP Practitioner Certification
· Lean/Six Sigma, ITIL Foundation and/or QMS/Test management experience/exposure would be useful
· Extensive experience of co-ordination and management of third parties including offshore and outsource relationships
· Experience of operating at senior stakeholder level
· People leadership skills: Extensive team management experience with proven track record of completing testing projects to the highest standards and within agreed project milestone
