Local IT Support Technician


Job Summary:

The role exists to provide a professional and efficient On-Site local IT Support to the business community. It does also do Service Desk service. The Technician will provide technical support on the phone and in person to customers within the IT user community. The questions vary considerably among end users, who use various lines of business, commercial and proprietary applications. Put briefly, the Technician will troubleshoot, diagnose and correct technical faults, using technical and diplomatic skills, and guide the user through the necessary steps to restore functionality.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily user support and management
  • Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve issues with Windows Clients, Lotus Notes, printing, Active Directory and other computer related technologies
  • Hardware deliveries, moves, client installations (i.e. IMAC's) as well as advanced software installations and upgrades
  • Maintenance of licenses, warranties, inventories, repairs and system documentation
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to share information and to solve problems.
  • Work with the IT community to proactively identify problems & facilitate resolutions
  • Assume call responsibility and will update information in ticketing system.
  • Participate in IT Projects
  • Provide end user training as needed
  • IT security according to policies
  • Telecom system management
  • Remote IT support for the units served by the SSC


  • Considerable familiarity with MS Windows XP/7/8, MS Office suite, Active Directory and Lotus Notes
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and complex computer/network related issues
  • Enjoy assisting people in need of technical assistance in a tactful manner
  • Self-starting, self-motivating, self-learning work approach
  • Experience in a local technical support position
  • Experience in giving support to end-users
  • Ability to multitask
  • Fluent in English, Hungarian
  • Ability to impart knowledge at various levels
  • Team-working skills
  • Aptitude for quick learning of technical and procedural topics
  • Project management skills
