Working as part of 2 small teams securing, managing and developing licensing programmes, promotions and retail activation direct and in cooperation with VIMN licensing agents across the Nickelodeon and MTV portfolio for Poland and CEE markets.

This person will be required to identify and secure new promotional partners and licensees, meeting with existing partners and managing the Polish/CEE agent business on a day-to-day basis.  

This person will work closely with the VIMN Commercial teams based in Warsaw and Budapest, to jointly develop new business opportunities with non-traditional CP partners from FMCG/360 clients.  This role also includes maximizing VIMN revenues through the development and management of instore communication and promotional programs designed to drive sell-in and sell-through.

The role will have responsibility to ensure that the annual revenue targets are for Poland/CEE are met.

Job description and overall Responsibilities


  • Manage and develop the agent relationship in Poland/CEE.
  • Work with International teams to input on Pan-Euro / International deals.  
  • Manage Retail promotions and relationships in conjunction with our Master Agent and local VIMN Marketing / Commercial teams
  • Manage existing direct NCP licensing deals, both reactively and proactively and focus on new business development.
  • Strategically analyse Toy, Apparel, Packaged Goods HBA & Promotions across the markets with the territory/category LOB’s and identify key new licensees to target to drive revenues and ensure that the core business objectives are met.
  • Work with the Agents and LOB’s to develop and grow the revenue across all licensed categories.
  • Work closely with Agents & licensees to develop the business and maximise sales across in the territory: regular dialogue & meetings to ascertain an overview of retail listings, new opportunities, work closely with licensees and product development teams.
  • Work with Commercial teams to communicate & identify new 360 opportunities with and for Ad Sales.
  • Be the main point of contact for the European Retail Team for Poland/CEE.
  • Be responsible for regular updates on distribution, sales information, marketing plans and product offering. Review forecasts by market with licensees on a quarterly basis.


  • Determine retail strategy for our priority properties in Poland/CEE, in accordance with North/UK cluster and international management in order to optimise CP income on a long term basis
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of retail accounts in designated class of trade and carry out strategic direction and business goals set by international N/VCP management.
  • Work with agent and channel to maximize revenue, brand visibility on-air/online/at retail
  • Develop and maintain relationships with buying and marketing staff at assigned retail accounts to increase the shelf space for Nickelodeon/Viacom Consumer Products
  • Obtain and analyse regular sales reports
  • Develop strong relationships with licensee sales reps
  • Liaising with Nickelodeon local channel team to tie in retail activities into Channel campaigns (360°)
  • Educate and convince assigned accounts on benefits of supporting Nickelodeon Consumer Product managed properties
  • Collaborate with European Retail Director
  • Coordinate Internal Media Planning (Residual Airtime) for advertising campaigns or PR activities
  • Planning the Retail Marketing budget and keeping track of budget spent
  • Create retail specific presentations

Sales Materials and Reports:

  • Create, implement and maintain processes to ensure visibility on existing/new deals and partners that may present opportunities for other VIMN markets i.e. regular calls or reports etc
  • Maintain existing status reports and create and implement new reports and processes to facilitate the smooth running of the team and sharing of information with other offices/divisions.
  • Updating master documents like local brand presentations and licensee lists


  • Liaise with Brand Management to ensure up to date information is made available for licensees across Poland/CEE markets
  • Work closely with local channel marketing teams to ensure maximum support for CP activities and alignment with channel planning
  • Collate sales info/updates to share with Brand Management to include in the brand presentations and to drive PR exposure on behalf of licensees.


Professional Skills


  • Degree in business studies with major in Marketing, Retail or Communication
  • Languages essential (Polish/Hungarian(?)/English)


  • Minimum 5 years of professional sales experience within Licensing industry in an international environment
  • Sound background of licensing & retail industry
  • Solid Understanding and knowledge of kids & youth market
  • Knowledge of assigned markets and retail structure
  • Existing relationships in assigned accounts
  • Track record of developing and executing successful promotional opportunities
  • Experience of working for an international licensor an advantage

Other skills:

  • Fluent in Polish and Business English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
