General Manager

Salary:Competitive salary
Reports to:Area Manager

Responsible for: Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Kitchen Managers & BOH / FOH Team Members

Qualifications/ Experience:

The individual will have held a managerial role in a similar business of high volume. Having a sound commercial knowledge of the hospitality industry is also an advantage. To hold the ability to gain a personal alcohol license if not already acquired.

Role Objectives:

To develop and grow the restaurant business through the provision of excellent product, ambience and through the development of a customer service orientated team.

Principle Duties/ Responsibilities:


- Expiditing the outstanding HOLA customer services culture to our guests to the standards of La Tasca
- Building on our loyal guest base and securing return bookings via incentives, engagement of up and coming events
- Implement cost effective recruitment solutions that build customer focused and dedicated teams to meet the business needs
- Carry out appraisals and implement supportive action plans that develop individuals and improve business performance
- Train, coach, mentor and motivate teams via monthly team meetings and via the company's dedicated training programme 'Academie de Desarrollo'
- Attend Area Meetings and feed back any relevant information to the management team and team members immediately and via monthly team meetings
- Manage and resolve team member performance issues through the performance management process (including probationary reviews)
- Ensuring that all team members and management training is maintained up to date with the provision of our e-learning system and all H&S compliancy training is completed prior to practical training as outlined

Sales & Marketing:

- Develop, implement and drive promotional activity in line with business requirements
- Monitor competitor activity in order to ensure promotional activity remains competitive
- Maximise all sales opportunities to deliver the best possible sales performance
- Drive a current and active sales plan
- Develop and grow database through networking


- Manage the profitability of the business, controlling all associated costs
- Achieve and control food and drink margins
- Compliancy with cash and stock policy procedures to meet audit requirements

Service Quality:

- Ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service and standards are delivered by all management and team members, at all times
- Effective delivery of our successful HOLA customer service programme


- Compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Ensure all relevant legislation requirements are met, e.g. health and safety (including risk assessments), food hygiene, employment and licensing legislation
- Compliance with premises license requirements
