We are looking for an experienced candidate to fulfill the IT Service Continuity Manager position for one of T-Systems’ Top 25 Global accounts.

The role of Service Continuity Manager is to lead all business continuity processes and activities for T-Systems’ customers understanding their existing infrastructure, the extent to which it enables Business Continuity Management and support contractual commitments.

  • Provide expert guidance and techniques to operational units regarding BCP/DR.
  • Creation and/or qualification of BC/DR Plan, and SCP (Service Continuity Plans). Maintain and develop BC/DR policies.

  • Management of virtual and direct reporting teams to deliver BCM fundamentals such as technical recovery plans, service recovery plans.

  • Support and facilitation of BC/DR test planning and execution as required contractually for customers and undertake BC/DR testing

  • Facilitate business awareness of BCM within T-Systems. Provide evidence that T-Systems team members are trained on their responsibilities in regards to the Account Crisis Management Plan, DRPs and internal Supplier Business Continuity Plans.

  • Ensure compliance with the Customer and T-Systems policies

  • Manage Disaster Recovery Plan reviews and updates in compliance with Customer standards

  • Identify and report any gaps in T-Systems’ ability to recover the Service(s) within agreed upon recovery time objectives

  • Manage notifications related to BCP/DR.

  • Create and maintain a schedule for Disaster Recovery Testing in accordance with the Change Management Process and ensure timeframes have been approved by the Customer

  • Execute Disaster recovery exercises for Services annually.

  • Create and present a post test report , including action plan to close any gaps or recommendation to improve service to reduce recovery time objective to agreed timeframes. Chair a post test review and manage to conclusion any recommendations or findings from the test.

  • Represent T-Systems in any Customer scheduled post-Test debrief activities

  • Accountability for the End-to-end BCP/DR process, documentation and continual improvement

  • Previous experience in the field of Business Continuity Management
  • A broad understanding of complex network infrastructure, computer systems, applications and operating systems. Strong accredited technical background. Degree level qualifications or a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Able to negotiate with and manage third parties.

  • Capability to communicate with Senior management and Board.

  • Good communicator both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise work

  • ITIL and/or Quality management certifications are desired

  • Project Management experience/qualification is an advantage

  • Advanced level English skills
