Working as part of the UK / West Cluster IT Enablement team, the IT Process Lead is responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of aligned processes and ways of working across both the UK and the West Cluster but with a primary focus on the UK.
This requires expertise in process management, an understanding of the concepts of how to work with outsourcing vendors and knowledge of industry standard processes for an effective and efficient IT organisation. The IT process Lead has the knowledge and skills to set process and tools direction for the function, identify areas of opportunity for process improvement relative to adherence to the standards agreed and to recommend to IT leadership realistic and pragmatic process improvements that will deliver a more agile organisation. They have broad knowledge of the Firm and how it operates and align the processes methodologies, practices and supporting tools to the specific business needs of the Firm today and in the medium to long term future.
This role is responsible for:

• Driving the direction and the development of standard, agreed processes, practices, methodologies and supporting tools for the aligned IT organization. This will require working closely with colleagues both within UK IT and West Cluster IT. • Implementing and communicating documented standard, agreed processes, practices, methodologies and supporting tools • Monitoring the adherence of a functions to agreed, standard processes. This requires expertise in Quality Assurance methodologies.
The IT Process Lead reports to the IT Enablement Leader.

About the role
The IT Process Lead has the following responsibilities:
• Works interactively with IT Enablement leaders and UK / West Cluster IT leadership, including designated leaders responsible for continuous process improvement (e.g. Ops Quality). The IT Process Lead Supports the strategy for the IT Enablement Process programs for the IT organization. • Keeps up to date with industry developments on IT organisation structures and processes and drives the strategy for UK/West Cluster IT ways of working. • Responsible for leading the translating of IT processes, practices, methodology and supporting tool aspirations into initiatives that provide metrics for analysis and review by IT leadership. • Sets the plan for the induction of staff in UK IT and ensures the successful implementation across the organisation. • Creates and implements the training and development strategy for UK IT and feeds into West Cluster initiatives. • Leads process initiatives focusing on creating/modifying processes, practices and methodology for the aligned IT organization. Implements the strategy of using standard development and project management tools across the IT organization to support the sourced vendors. • Makes recommendations to the functional teams on ways to improve their process quality and helps to identify potential areas of risk due to process weakness. • Provides IT leadership with an independent view of adherence to IT standard, agreed processes and potential areas of risk and opportunities for quality improvement. • Responsible for implementing and advocating standardized methodology, processes and procedures for the aligned IT organization on assigned operations and investment development projects. • Required to support the implementation of all methodology initiatives across the aligned IT organization to address risks or opportunities for improvement. • Contributes to thought leadership for process improvements and transforming the IT organization • Has responsibility for the standard processes used in IT and maintaining the IT process knowledge base • Plans and is responsible for implementation of process initiatives • Addresses identified areas of risk, opportunities for process improvement with plans for recommendations for process improvement to IT leadership • Works collaboratively with peers in the IT Enablement organization and across the UK/West Cluster IT organisation. • Reports quality metrics to IT leadership • Takes active role in the coaching and development of all staff working on process initiatives; prepares periodic feedback on staff; identifies skill development needs; researches/creates training to raise skills/core competencies for staff and encourage training and development • Realization of IT Enablement Process team goals • Successful resolution of identified quality risks and opportunities for process improvement • Requires deep subject matter expertise as it relates to IT processes and the impact to organisational structure. • Develops and strengthens relationships outside of the functional team, focusing on understanding the needs of those who depend on the team's services and those who deliver services on which the team depends.
• Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BSc) preferred or equivalent experience • Proven success as a leader of high performing teams • Strong business knowledge and operational management experience • Strong project and program management experience • Effective problem solving and negotiation skills • Demonstrated competency in relationship management, stakeholder management, change management, and influencing without authority • Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and firm schedules • Ability to embrace and lead a rapidly changing environment • Provides counselling, coaching and mentoring to staff • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
