IT Business Partner Retail - London

The IT Business Partner is a senior role in the TJX Europe IT function providing technology and program leadership to drive sales, productivity and cost reduction.

You will be accountable for initiating, implementing and managing key programmes / projects in line with business priorities. It will be essential to have the ability to build strong relationships with the retail business area and senior leadership stakeholders, while influencing the broader organisation to create and deliver value.

The Business Partner will have involvement throughout the process ensuring that any significant changes to systems / process / the business are smoothly implemented and the business are fully bought into the reasoning for change.

Key responsibilities -

• Establish, oversee and manage business partner relationships with assigned business partners
• Share accountability with the trading division for the performance of the business unit
• Use partnerships proactively to ensure the implementation of new systems, or changes to existing systems on other functions, is considered and mitigated
• Influence IT strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Develop, deliver and implement action plans to meet business objectives in line with European business plans, IT standards and budget
• Analyse options and drive solutions for complex Business problems to drive business value
• Gather estimates for projects from relevant parties involved in the project delivery
• Actively monitor the progress of programs and services to assure compliance with delivery and service levels (scope, cost, schedule, benefit, SLAs etc)
• Provide regular updates on IT programs, projects and value creation
• Anticipate business needs / risks and mitigate appropriately
• Lead business transformation as required, acting as a change agent and promoting best practice locally and globally
• Escalation point for Senior Management, including out of hours / weekend support to address critical business issues
• Navigates the Global I.T. organisation to drive prompt resolution of issues and communicates effectively.

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience -

• Be aware of the wider commercial environment and possess the ability to successfully challenge and influence operational stakeholders
• Very strong negotiating and influencing skills at all levels
• Proven track record of project management in a multi-national environment
• Experience in conceptualizing, planning, designing and implementing significant information systems in a fast-paced retail (or equivalent) multi-national company
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/information management preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional & personal credibility
• Excellent coaching and development skills
• Change leadership ability; creating meaning, innovation, transformation & problem solving.
