• Excellent Safety culture maintained across group
• Carry out safety and quality audits on IR Construction, agency/sub contractors
• All Staff Competencies upheld including professional development, membership and licensing including i.e. IRSE and health and safety qualifications
• Standardisation of site installation techniques to ensure industry best practice is established and maintained. Ensure that the briefing of instructions to allocated staff is carried out and documented
• Responsible for maintaining asset register database and collation of all handover/handback documentation and activities, on site supervision of on site signalling installation activities and handover to test
• Monitor and Control allocated budgets as required
• Responsible for co-ordinating of all signalling site activities and interfaces with other disciplines
• Ensure rework cycles are minimised and lessons learnt
• Compilation of I&S; Plan and execution of the plan activities throughout contract lifecycles.
• Ensure all reporting requirements are accurate and on time. ( to include time recording and appropriation of time)
• Ensure robust installation documentation, plans and Work Plans are produced, monitored and adhered to
• Agree and maintain procedural work templates

• Signalling background (essential)
• Ability to produce quality documentation - ie Construction Strategies / Plan / Programmes / Estimates (essential)
• Substantial experience of managing teams via Supervisory staff (essential)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels (essential)
• Must be willing to travel and lodge around area of responsibility (essential)
• Leading and managing change (essential)
• Commercially astute and able to manage £multi-million budgets (essential)
• Membership of the IRSE
• Be able to demonstrate substantial Railway signalling or construction experience
• Experience in leading and managing teams
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of relevant Standards and Handbooks
