We're looking for someone who will become a key member of the Information Risk & Security team. Reporting to the IT Risk Management Leader, you will need the skills to provide advice to people though out the firm. You will ensure our systems' security controls are in alignment with the firm's risk appetite and tolerance levels in order to support business objectives.
About the role
Your key responsibilities will include


• Ensure that the firm's data is handled and processed in line with the PwC Information Security Policy, which is based on ISO27001. A significant part of the job will be ensuring that systems being run by our suppliers, in the cloud and elsewhere, meet these requirements. • Provide advice to internal and external project teams to ensure the systems they deliver meet the firm's information security requirements and so need to be able to quickly grasp the security aspects of new and unexpected situations. • Be responsible for ensuring our information risk exposures are managed appropriately in line with the firm's strategies and policies. • Working with other teams in UK IT, with our outsourced service providers and all levels of Partners and staff throughout the firm, you will need the ability to communicate clearly and with authority on IT risk and information security issues.
Requirements
Essential Skills

• Broad understanding of the concepts and taxonomy of IT risk and security • Experience of working within a risk driven organisation • Excellent communication skills including negotiating and the ability to deliver technical communications in customer focused terms. Understanding of the correct media for various communication types • Ability to take ownership of day to day issues and make decisions based on agreed remit with line manager • Broad understanding of Project Management life cycles • Logical and organised approach - disciplined, conscientious • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight timescales • Commitment to the values of risk management within PwC • Able to communicate with and influence colleagues at all levels. • Excellent understanding of the principles of risk identification, assessment & evaluatio • Solid knowledge of information security domains and principle • Solid knowledge of Web hosting architecture and security principles including OWASP. • Knowledge of common networking protocols and services and their relevant security issue • Knowledge of risk assessment/acceptance factors that can affect business and security decisions. • Knowledge of data classification and its impact on the security design of technology solutions. • Knowledge of business processes and business drivers that can affect system design
Highly Desirable:


• Operational experience within an IT department of a large corporate environment • Knowledge of UK IT and the firm and its structure • CRISC and / or CISM certification • Understanding of ISOs 27001 and 27002 • Familiarity with the UK DPA and EU data privacy requirements • Some knowledge of legal practices and regulatory bodies • Understanding of COBIT




Excellent understanding of the principles of risk identification, assessment & evaluation
Solid knowledge of information security domains and principles
Solid knowledge of Web hosting architecture and security principles including OWASP.
Knowledge of common networking protocols and services and their relevant security issues
Knowledge of risk assessment/acceptance factors that can affect business and security decisions.
Knowledge of data classification and its impact on the security design of technology solutions.
Knowledge of business processes and business drivers that can affect system design
