The role is tremendously varied. You might be asked to give some personal tax advice to an employee who is being asked to relocate by his current employer in the UK, or helping an employee move from another country to work in the UK. We deal with thousands of cases every year, each one different, and each one offering a new challenge and a chance to grow your knowledge. We help our clients move their employees around the world in the most efficient manner possible.

You need excellent client handling and communication skills. Our clients expect a seamless global service: most of our engagements are global engagements so you will be working as part of a global team not just a team in the UK. You will need to work closely with PwC colleagues from around the globe. This means that you will need to acquire skills in managing people from different cultures and backgrounds. The role will be client facing and you will typically be expected to start building relationships with client and assignee contacts from a very early stage.

The position will be based in our Birmingham team.
For the Associate level, this role would suit individuals who are numerate, analytical and have good attention to detail who are interested in moving into an Expat Tax role

For the Senior Associate level, applicants should have UK personal tax experience (preferably with some expatriate tax knowledge). Applicants will be ATT (or CTA) qualified, will have had experience of reviewing UK tax returns and of working in a team environment.
