Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Nationwide House, Swindon
Salary: £39,727 - £50,762

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nationwide and be part of a well established team.
This role has been created to join the already successful HR Systems Team which is responsible for supporting HR's critical PeopleSoft HR and Global Payroll system.

Who we're looking for
• We are looking for a talented individual to provide expert functional consultancy and advice to the HR department and wider business in relation to our current HR systems. You will also be accountable for the following:
• The provision of expert configuration and consultancy skills on all areas of PeopleSoft HR functionality implemented within Nationwide Building Society, including Global Payroll.
• Analysing, challenging and validating end user requirements and apply these to the PeopleSoft HR application where appropriate, ensuring customisation is kept to a minimum.
• Developing alternative design solutions; advise on options, risks, cost versus benefits and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
• Managing the Request for Change (RFC) project lifecycle for approved changes, ensuring the relevant impact assessments are completed & stakeholder approvals' obtained during initiation. Managing these changes through to implementation, ensuring the relevant functional specifications are created, inputting into technical specifications as required and check to ensure that implementation is delivered to agreed specs.
• Identifying system testing requirements and carry out system testing for application upgrades, bundles & fixes releases and new/improved functionality releases.
• Proactively proposing and implementing improvements to the current configuration with the aim of maximising the use of PeopleSoft HR, improving data quality and simplifying back office operations and improving business processes.
• Reviewing new areas of functionality and emerging technology, both within the PeopleSoft suite and external marketplace, and make recommendations for use in line with HR business process and strategy.
• Providing coaching and guidance to the HR System Specialist Core roles, ensuring expert knowledge an d skills are shared across the team.
• Maintain relationships with all PeopleSoft HR systems key stakeholders, including users (inside and outside of HR), IT areas and 3rd party suppliers.

What you'll be doing
We are looking for an ambitious professional with the following skills:

• A proven background in a HR Systems or IT environment.
• Recent extensive experience working with PeopleSoft HR, Absence Management and Global Payroll.
• Experience of implementing and maintaining UPK (User Productivity Kit).
• Project experience of implementing or upgrading Peoplesoft HCM would be a bonus.
• Expert PeopleSoft configuration and functional skills in at least two areas of functionality.
• Demonstrable experience in advice and consultancy.
• Experience of PeopleSoft Query essential and exposure to SQL would be an advantage.
• Understanding of project management structures and methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels.
• Ability to manage own time effe ctively.
• Ability to dissect complex information and present in a clear and concise manner in key documentation.
• Able to constructively challenge & influence others' points of view to ensure the best outcome is achieved with regards to system integrity.
