1 THE LOCATION:
IHG global headquarters is situated in Denham, Buckinghamshire. It is just a 25 minute train ride from London and close to major motorway networks. The modern purpose designed offices allow us to showcase our brands to corporate employees and visitors. Facilities include, state of the art meeting space, restaurant and café, Gym, and exercise studio. Approximately 700 employees based at head office support Europe, as well as Global teams.
HR Shared Services Manager, Europe Job Role Summary
Responsible for leading the HR Shared Services team in the delivery of high quality Human Resources services to the business. These services include the provision and support of HR administration systems, payroll, and compliance services in Europe and Dubai. The HRSS Manager, Europe will fully support the Director in managing the range of outsourced vendors who provide services whilst ensuring that they deliver to agreed timescales, costs and quality of service and working with them to drive value enhancement in all services.
The role will work with all internal and external customers to identify opportunities to improve existing services, through increasing quality and/or reducing costs, and identifying new services that can be more effectively and efficiently delivered through the HRSS organization. The Manager will provide UK Employment Tax guidance to the UK HRSS and HR teams and ensure that all operations are conducted within IHG Financial Governance policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities)
Lead and manage the HR Shared Services team in Denham to deliver services to agreed service levels. Identify the optimal service delivery model for these services, deciding on which to provide from the team (on-shore or off-shore) and which to outsource.
Work with internal customers to identify opportunities to improve services and implement changes accordingly.
Provide and support HR systems for the region ensuring data quality and dependable reporting to meet the needs of the business.
Provide payroll and benefits administration services to all corporate and reservations staff.
Ensure that tax and social security is correctly deducted and declared to government.
Coordinate with payroll and other vendors to ensure that all tracking and reporting of all Service Level Agreements in performed regularly and accurately.
Ensure that all processes meet internal audit standards as well as Sarbanes Oxley standards. Lead all internal and external audit requirements.
Recommend and develop HR and HRSS policies and procedures to ensure that IHG remains compliant with UK employment tax regulations, including but not limited to: P11d, PSA, RTI, Auto Pension Enrolment.
Perform and/or facilitate regular audits of T&E Expense reports for UK PSA purposes
Supervise annual projects including PSA's and P11d's and tax year end for each country where services are provided.
Required Skills -
Experience in using ADP Freedom payroll system
Team leadership and administration skills
Supervision of Payroll services
Knowledge of UK PAYE and Social Security Regulations
Solid understanding of process re-engineering
Ability to identify accountability
University Degree in relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Desired - A formal qualification in Taxation, Human Resources, Payroll, Project Management.
Experience in Human Resources/HRIS/Payroll/Employment Tax roles. Employment Tax is required as well at least one of the HRIS disciplines.
Previous experience in a management role
Experience of working with a multi-country environment
Experience of managing an outsource vendor, even if only indirectly.
