Job description** 6 Months Fixed Term Employee **
The Business Partner works closely with defined business areas (currently Engineering, Programmes, Finance, IT & IS) to support the senior leadership team members and their teams to shape and support people requirements to deliver the business strategy and the mid-term plan.
•Coach leaders to increase their leadership confidence and capability to deliver business improvement
•Ensure any employee relations issues are managed to resolution with minimal business impact and any lessons learned are deployed to avoid future occurrence
•Delivery of the people plan ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time
•Ensures the organisation is designed and implemented to ensure business needs can be met
•Skills gaps, career development, talent retention and successors are identified and a plan to deliver against each is deployed
•Support line managers to identify and manage HR interventions to improve business performance and improved individual performance of team members
•Ensure consistent performance management standards and approaches are applied through regular normalisation sessions
•Lead on any business area people projects - TUPE, re-organisation etc. and effective solutions are delivered to meet business needs and all risks have been appropriately managed
•To provide advice and guidance in compliance with employment legislation and company policy

•Broad generalist HR experience including coaching, relationship management, communications, absence, capability, conduct, L&D, and resourcing across all levels of the organisation
•Experience of working with business leaders and able to establish personal credibility
•Working knowledge of current UK employment legislation and employee relations
•Experience of change programmes and proven track record of delivering HR projects
•Results orientated HR generalist with proven HR experience of meeting agreed deliverables with increasing levels of responsibility.
•High energy and naturally collaborative approach
•Adept at problem solving, with an ability to persuade and influence at all levels
•Passion for continuous improvement (organisation and self)
•Flexible, responsive and highly customer focused
•Emotionally resilient and able to plan and deliver at pace
•Effective prioritisation of workload to meet stretching deadlines

•PC literate and experience of working with databases
