Home Support Worker (Various Hours) (18 Posts) - North
NLC3 £15,052 - £17,735 Pro Rata plus appropriate payment for non-core hour working
Located within the Cumbernauld area, you will provide a person centred approach to care, responding flexibly to the needs of a variety of individuals and families who require assistance to live within the community, which can, in cases of complex care and reablement, change on a daily basis. In addition, you will work to the instruction of the Home Support Manager in terms of individual care plans, providing written reports, maintaining medication and other records as required demonstrating alertness to any changes inthehealth and wellbeing of clients on a daily basis and reportingthese to your line manager. You will also provide assistance with extended personal care tasks where required.
Previous work experience is not essential but you should have effective verbal communication skills and basic numeracy and literacy skills. You should be self motivated, enthusiastic and be articulate, pleasant and friendly with an approachable manner. You must have a non judgemental attitude and be sensitive and respectful to privacy and dignity of individuals. A willingness to work towards SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent within timescales set by SSSC and the ability to work weekends and undertake shifts as part of the normal working week is also essential.
Experience of working with people and/or working with people in a care setting either in an employment or voluntary capacity is desirable as is experience of moving and assisting service users, IT Skills and a Driving Licence.
You will require to become a Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting in this post
Work Pattern: 7 over 14 shift pattern
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
7.00am - 1.00pm
7.00am - 2.30pm
4.30pm - 10.30pm
