Home Support Worker (temp) (part time)
Salary: Grade D £16,109 - £17,633 (pro rata)
Location: Inverclyde Central Area
Hours: 17.5 hours per week working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 8.00am to 11am & 4pm to 6pm
Duration: 1 year
As a home support worker you will provide assistance to service users in their own homes. You will perform a range of tasks to promote independence for service users and provide assistance with all aspects of personal care which will include assisting with medication, washing, dressing and preparing meals. You will also assist with the management of continence and personal hygiene including catheter and stoma care.
You must have experience of caring for older people or people with disabilities. You must be flexible, have good communication skills and a caring approach. You should also be able to work without direct supervision.
In accordance with current legislation and best practice the successful candidate will be required to attend all relevant training courses on a regular basis.
A full driving licence is essential with use of a vehicle at all times, during working hours.
