Opportunity for a group assistant to join the London Insolvency Management Team ("IMT").
The IMT is part of the Business Recovery Services ("BRS") business. It is responsible for delivery and oversight of the statutory, regulatory and internal compliance across the firm's portfolio of insolvent companies. The IMT has played a major role in many of the major insolvencies over the last decade.
This role will primarily be office-based at 7 More London Riverside, London and will involve supporting the case teams with administrative and process tasks across the insolvency case portfolio.
The successful candidate will report to the overall resource leader and work with all 33 staff in the three teams forming the London IMT. The successful candidate will show initiative, good attention to detail and have excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
The work is full time and primarily office-based although the successful candidate may need to attend external sites on occasion and work with associated teams as and when required. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility in terms of working extra hours will be required when the teams are busy.
There will also be opportunities to become involved in supporting the team in achieving the objectives of the wider department, such as having an involvement in assisting with other projects and arranging training initiatives.
About the role
The responsibilities of the position will include the following:
• Electronic and paper case filing • Arranging payments and recording receipts • Generating time record reports • Collating supporting case information for VAT and corporate tax returns • Dealing with non-complex high volume correspondence e.g. creditor claims, non- domestic rates and utility bills • Supporting the team with incoming telephone queries • Photocopying and collation of documents / reports • Arranging bulk printing and mail outs including liaison with external printers • Archiving and retrieving case related and company records • Updating case related electronic standing data • Opening and distributing incoming post, including redirected mail from insolvent companies' former sites • Organising internal and external meetings, including travel arrangements, venue bookings for group meetings and training sessions • Assistance with preparation of complex presentations and reports.
