Location: University Park
Salary: £28,695 to £37,394 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are looking for an experienced manager to join our award winning University of Nottingham Grounds Team.
We are seeking a team player with excellent operational management experience to work across all of our UK sites to lead the day to day management of the Sports Grounds Maintenance team, developing and implementing external sports facility maintenance work schedules, allocating and monitoring external sports facility maintenance works in progress to ensure that tasks are completed to comply with sport's governing body requirements.
You will be required to carry out work-study analysis of new and existing University Sports Grounds to determine the levels of staffing, machinery and materials required, providing specialist advice to solve problems, identifying gaps in provisions and making recommendations about future projects as required. You will also assist Grounds Manager with budget management within your area of responsibility and will participate in on call management duties outside of normal working hours.
Candidates should be a qualified member of an appropriate professional body, hold a degree in a relevant subject or have a proven track record of extensive relevant work experience. A minimum level 3 BTEC Certificate or IOG Advanced National Certificate in Sports and Amenity Turf Management or equivalent qualification in sports turf maintenance and management is also required.
The successful candidate should also have comprehensive knowledge of sports turf maintenance and management techniques for both natural and artificial surfaces, have extensive prior experience of managing sports facility maintenance works including risk assessments and method statements and have experience in the preparation of external Sports Facility Management and development plans. Due to the frequency with which the role holder will drive between university sites a full, current driving licence is also required (unless disability precludes this).
Hours of work are 36.25 per week worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Flexibility will be required.
