Graduate (Allotments and Growing Spaces) (Temporary) - Lanarkshire, Motherwell, ML1 1
Based in either Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell or Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld, you will be involved in a range of projects within Countryside and Landscape section with a focus on drafting a strategy for the development of allotment and growing spaces in North Lanarkshire.
You should have a degree in Countryside Management, Outdoor Recreation, Geography or related discipline. You will be required to demonstrate good project management skills and the ability to undertake research and analyse information using the appropriate computer software packages, e.g. Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, etc).
You should also possess good inter-personal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to prioritise and manage your workload whilst working to tight deadlines. You should also have the ability to undertake some out of hours work.
Possession of a current driving licence is desirable.
To be eligible to apply for this position, graduates must:-
• Have been unemployed, or underemployed, post graduation for the last 13 weeks;
• Have graduated with a degree level qualification;
• Live within the North Lanarkshire Council boundary;
• Have gained their graduate qualification after May 2011
• Be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom
