We are looking to recruit an experienced live-in General Manager (Pub) for our beautiful Pub set in a village on the outskirts of Leeds. This is a real destination food pub, brimming with character that has roaring log fires in the winter and in the summer the attractive large beer garden is a wonderful place to chill out in with a beer or glass of wine. The Pub has over 100 covers in the restaurant area, a separate function room and a large car park. It is a busy food Pub with a 70/30 food split on the Classics menu and attracts a regular customer base from the surrounding area.

The successful General Manager (Pub) will be able to demonstrate successfully growing sales in a food led environment with the ability to manage the food safety and due diligence required in a busy kitchen. You will have a passion for excellence in delivering outstanding customer service and standards with a warm and engaging front of house presence that can only be found in a true host.

The successful General Manager (Pub) must be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.

Highly motivated, and of smart appearance, you MUST have the following attributes
• Completion of Albert's Accelerator (or industry equivalent).
• Flexible and committed.
• Passion for food and drink quality and service and standards.
• Be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment.
• Be a team player.

Reporting to the Area Manager and responsible for all employees at site, as General Manager (Pub) duties will include (amongst others)
• To control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
• Maximise all sales opportunities.
• Possess full product knowledge and awareness of profit margins associated with products.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness of ordering, and stock control.
• Understand the pub's budget and manage expenditure accordingly.
