Front or Back End Master Software Engineer
You have a strong track record in leading, designing and developing code in an Agile scrum delivery environment. You know all about product design in SOA or the digital world. And you have a solid background in application development. Now you're looking for a new challenge; one that will test your capabilities and enhance your already impressive software engineering talents. That's why you should talk to us at Capital One.
We're one of the UK's leading credit card companies. We put customers first - and we pride ourselves on innovation. Our UK Software Studio is a small team of Agile scrums and plays an integral role in delivering groundbreaking solutions and we'd like you to lead it.
A software engineering role at Capital One isn't about automating or digitising what we currently have. We're looking for you to disrupt the financial services industry by reimagining what financial services could be, by creating new, innovative products and solutions that will make our customers lives easier.
As our Master Software Engineer, you'll take charge of an Agile scrum that creates game-changing user experiences for our customers. The design part of your role will focus on utilising user-centred design to craft next-generation digital products and seamless user experiences. With your software engineering hat on, you'll take the lead on building consumer-facing, data-driven applications that take the complexity out of the user experience.
Designing and coding programs, creating test transactions and drawing on insight to tailor designs and coding will all be part and parcel of your role.
You'll also need a good grasp of at least one of the following; Subversion, Git, Eclipse, MongoDB, MySL and full-stack development, plus have at least one app published in the App Store.
For our SOA Software Engineers, we're looking for expertise in Oracle Fusion Middleware or Oracle BPM, together with an understanding of networking and security principles relating to Middleware. A good grasp of at least one of the following; Eclipse, JDeveloper, uBuild, uDeploy, Hudson, Mavern and Nexus is also essential, along with an advanced grasp of OSB, BPEL, JSM, OWSM and SSL.
The ability to manage people and multiple projects in a fast-moving environment is also essential.
Bring us all this - and more besides - and we'll make sure you're handsomely rewarded. As well as a pension scheme, bonus, generous holiday entitlement and private medical insurance, you can look forward to a host of useful benefits. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available for exceptional candidates.
