Our Forensic Technology Services team specialise in providing the technology skills required to respond to crisis events such as legal disputes or regulatory investigations. In the UK alone, we have more than 80 technology practitioners working from dedicated secure forensic laboratories in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Belfast.
As a Senior Manager you will provide oversight of multiple client engagements such as searching for evidence of fraud and abuse within a company's finance system, or looking for hidden patterns within the global payments of a bank accused of money laundering. These are some of the challenges you'll face as part of the team in one of the largest dedicated forensic technology practices in the world.

This position is based in London, however candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at client site from Monday to Friday.
About the role
Much of our work centres on the analysis of large volumes of electronic data. And because we operate in an environment where speed of response is often critical to our clients, we are constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies.
The nature of what we do means that many of our clients have an international reach. And our engagements frequently involve working in cross-border teams alongside regulators, legal advisors and other parts of PwC - often in overseas locations. Despite these common factors, however, you can rest assured that no two jobs, or indeed days, are ever quite the same.
Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
• Providing oversight, guidance and direction to managers on multiple concurrent and complex data analytics projects;
• Responsibility for all aspects of engagements such as risk management, project management and client relationships;
• Defining budgets for complex engagements involving multiple workstreams, international teams and disparate systems;
• Heavily involved in development and marketing aspects of the business such as preparing and attending client proposals as well as presenting to large audiences;
• Building strong relationships with clients and senior members of the team;
• Development of new FTS methodologies and approaches to address client/market needs;
• Drafting reports and presentations to explain our findings;
• Motivating and mentoring of junior staff members.
If you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems in a rigorous and methodological manner, we would be interested in talking to you. Experience in data mining, text mining, search, or statistics is useful, but not vital.
To be considered you must have a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a technical or analytical based subject (e.g. computer science, mathematics, etc.) and demonstrable experience in a number of the following disciplines:
• Data querying and manipulation programming (e.g. T-SQL, PL/SQL);
• Data analytics programming (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R);
• Understanding of common data quality problems;
• Data cleansing and manipulation;
• General understanding of statistics;
• Basic understanding of basic accounting principles;
• Clustering and/or text mining concepts and techniques;
• Predictive analytics and/or pattern detection;
• Extraction and analysis of ERP data from vendors such (e.g. SAP, Oracle Financials, JD Edwards);
• Software development lifecycle and methodologies.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in leading and managing large client engagements;
• The ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems;
• Experience in balancing multiple client priorities and engagements;
• The ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines;
• Concise and clear communication to all levels of management;
• The ability to work independently with little supervision, but integrate well into teams;
• High level of enthusiasm, energy and personal integrity;
• The ability to motivate staff to deliver quality work;
• A strong desire to learn and willingness to share knowledge.
