Belfast based Forensic Services team specialise in the investigation, analysis
and resolution of our clients’ business issues and disputes. We are looking for
individuals with strong analytical and review skills, excellent attention to
detail and an enthusiastic and positive attitude and approach.
About the role
Forensic
Services is a rapidly expanding business, providing excellent opportunities to
work in a busy, challenging commercial environment. We currently have a
requirement for additional support in our Investigations document review team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to work within a high
growth team where they will play a key role in the support and development of
the document review team.
Key
responsibilities include:
• Responsible for carrying out document review on large regulatory investigations and litigations • Supervising document review team members and advising on legal matters as and when required • Assisting with other chargeable work as and when required • Conducting issues-based research using document review software • Providing business development support to the Document Review team manager • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law to the sphere of document review

Requirements
The
following skills are required for this role:
Essential
skills:
• Ideally 1 year’s PQE within a commercial/corporate law firm or inhouse legal environment with demonstrable experience of document review. This must include knowledge and experience of large scale document reviews with the ability to project manage the process from instruction to completion. It would be ideal that the candidate would have 2 + years PQE. • Third Level Qualification equivalent to a 2:1 degree • High level of attention to detail, but can also step back from the detail and see problems, opportunities and trends. • Strong analytical ability: evaluates information to identify underlying key issues and broader implications. • Aptitude for learning (and becoming proficient in) the use of software and IT applications, and using search terms intelligently to navigate large databases/document management systems.
Desirable
skills:
• Fluency in a second language with an ability to translate legal documents into English (German and Russian language especially desirable but all other languages considered). • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland or other common law jurisdictions.
