PwC's Forensic Services group consists of around 600 people in the UK. The group's services are wide ranging and include dispute resolution, fraud and other financial investigations, non-financial investigations, construction claims and contract reviews.
About the role
Within the Forensic services group, the Corporate Intelligence team (CI) conducts investigative research for clients seeking to mitigate the risks associated with third parties, commercial partners and other business relationships. By accessing public record information and undertaking discreet source enquiries, we provide clients with the information they need to make strategic business decisions.
The CI team, which is based in our offices in both London and Belfast, has undergone rapid growth in the last two years and we are currently looking to recruit an Associate to support our continued growth. We are looking for individuals who have an aptitude for research, an investigative and sceptical mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. We envisage that the role will be largely research focused, although successful candidates will also be required to assist with administrative duties. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at client site from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
• Research of public domain information in one or more languages including research of corporate registers, media databases, litigation records and other open source material; • Management and tasking of third parties making human source enquiries; • Report drafting; • Marketing or business development tasks such as proposal writing, creation of marketing material, background research and lead generation; • Various ad hoc administrative tasks as required - for example, scanning and archiving.
The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills:
Minimum 2.1 Degree or postgraduate qualification;
• Research background or education in a research-related discipline, e.g. Law, History, Politics, International Relations, Criminology and/or Economics; • Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and • Excellent report writing skills; • Second language (fluent or advanced): Arabic
Desirable skills:
• Other languages (fluent or advanced): French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Russian, Turkish, or Cantonese.
