Europe's leading providers of communications services is looking for a new colleague to join and lead Commercial team to success.
-Help ensure Europe delivers its Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA targets, without compromising its accounting control requirements.
-Thoroughly investigate and understand variances to Forecast, prior month, and prior year across all lines of Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA across all countries.
-Help prepare and communicate clear explanations of variances across all lines of Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA at a consolidated level to Europe senior management and GS senior management.
-Drive accurate reporting and forecasting across all dimensions of the 4x4 model.
-Help to manage the P&L stream through each month end and re-forecasting exercise, focusing on Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA.
-Ensure local Finance teams are clear on what data and information they need to provide and when, and ensure delivery.
-Identify and deliver improvements to the way Europe provides and delivers insight into Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA to senior management.
-Ensure GS Central Finance’s information requirements are met or exceeded, providing suggestions on how to they could improve processes to better meet their requirements.
-Build excellent working relationships with the local Finance teams, the SSC and with GS Central Finance, balancing challenge with support.
-Undertake insightful analysis to identify and pursue opportunities to improve the Revenue, Gross Margin, SG&A, TLR/TLC and EBITDA of Europe.
-Help drive the delivery of TLR/TLC action plans in each country, and ensure progress is clearly, accurately and frequently reported.
-Help drive the delivery of the Profit Protection/Improvement plans (Q5) in each country, and ensure progress is clearly, accurately and frequently reported.
-Help drive the delivery of the Telco and Non-Telco savings plans in each country, and ensure progress is clearly, accurately and frequently reported.
-Graduate accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 0 - 5 years post qualification experience, including managing the financial analysis of a complex European business.
-Strong technical knowledge and understanding of P&L accounting policy and practice, ensuring consistent treatment.
-Exposure to complex, global businesses. Familiarity with the complexities and subtleties of working, managing and consolidating across borders.
-Exposure to leading and driving change in a rapidly changing environment.
-Able to drive rigour and reliability throughout the Finance function.
-A positive and proactive approach to reporting matters with a ‘get it right’ mindset.
-Strong team player with an ability to build relationships across a wide range of disciplines and levels of management, both internally and externally.
-Clear communicator, with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
-Ability to prioritise matters and work under pressure.
-Knowledge of HFM, OBI, Oracle Financials and Excel.
