Our multinational client is looking for a European Operations Manager. The company is a global leader in the field of automation, has more than 35,000 employees in 36 countries working to provide products and services to customers in a variety of fields.

The European Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities related to the Purchasing of goods, Inventory management and Customer Service activities. The purpose of the role is improving customer service levels and efficiency, operational procedures, customer satisfaction, and Key Performance Indicators. You would coordinate the customer service activities across Europe related to the customer requirements to the purchasing activities and Inventory management. You would be also responsible for assuring customer flexibility with keeping stock levels on agreed levels. The European Operations Manager deploys and secures that the processes of enquiry-, order processing, sales staff support, and after sales activities are uniformly performed by each Customer Service Centre against company expectations. Ideally the position is based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Extensive European travel plus occasional travel to Japan will be part of the function.


• Ensure the Customer Service, Inventory and Planning departments operate efficiently.
• Assign work activities, projects and programs.
• Monitor work flow, review and evaluate work, methods and procedures.
• Oversee and manage the Inventory & Planning department.
• Design, implement and manage the Customer Service departments.
• Improve customer satisfaction.
• Develop operational plans with the Sales and Marketing department.
• Guide and coach the teams to reach the targets and goals.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.


• Minimum 5 years experience in an international environment as Inventory & Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager or Head of Customer Service
• Knowledge of forecasting principles and systems
• Knowledge of inventory replenishment strategies and process improvements
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Customer Relation Management
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Business fluent in English; other European languages are preferable
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Solid organizational skills
• Analytical skills
• Ability to lead large teams
